About the Fryeburg Academy Physics Blog
This is an experiment, an attempt to incorporate technology into the classroom and get you thinking about physics outside of the classroom. From time to time I’ll post interesting links about physics in the news, why it’s important to understand physics, or things I just think are fun. I’ll also put pertinent updates regarding class information here, so it’s worth your while to check back often.
Here are some things I’d like you to do
- Figure out the joy of the RSS feed, which will allow you be notified of new posts so you don’t have to visit the site to check for new material. As an option that is equally effective (but a lot less fun), you can subscribe by email. The system will send you a message whenever I post something new.
- Get involved! There are some posts where I will post a link or video and invite comments. You’re encouraged to participate, and if you find a link you think should be on the site send it to me. When it’s time to calculate grades at the end of the semester I take participation into account, so just remember that.
- When you comment, use a consistent name, and one that I can use to identify you. If you post as something like coolteen04037 I have no idea who you are. Any posts made anonymously or with an unidentified username will be deleted. If you have something to say, people should know who you are!
- We’re all friends here, so let’s keep it civil. I will delete any comments that I feel are inappropriate.
As I said before, this is an experiment, and the first time I’ve tried something like it. As such, there will certainly be things that aren’t perfect about it, so I welcome your suggestions. Bear with me, suggest things to help, and follow along.
